Fun and affordable. I took my family here because we wanted to do a zip line, well after further research we found Go Ape and not only do you zip line but you do all kinds of different obstacles way up high in the trees. This isn't a 45 min activity either. You can be here awhile. It took us 3 1/2 hours to get through the course. The activities are fun and some a little harder than others, but you can get through it. This was super fun and a great work out and family time. I am 43 and I was able to get through pretty good. If you are afraid of heights this is a great way to help challenge yourself with it because you have a harness and as long as you do what you are suppose to you won't fall. We did this on Saturday and today is Monday and my muscles hurt in a good way. A true exciting fun challenge and adventure. I read some of these reviews and people are complaining about the staff and the clips and safety. I can say that the staff is great, they are exciting and fun. Before you go out by yourself (and the staff is always going around checking on people) they do a training course, they help you in the harness and tell you 1,000+ times to make sure one clip is always connected to the tree or line before removing the other. There are signs at every single station on how to use your clips and how to do the obstacle. They go through this small intro then take you to a training part where you do a mini zip line and crossing and climb ladders etc. They watch and tell you to do the clips, I undid my d clip first and they told me no, the d clip is first connect and last unconnected. This is why if you are under 15 you have to have adult with you. I took my teenage daughter she is 16 and I would remind her a few times about her clips but after the first 3 stations I didn't, I followed behind her making sure she was all hooked up. This is a parents job. If you can't do that, request to have the instructor with you all the times.
Worth every penny. We had an excellent experience. The instructors are very friendly, knowledgeable, and safety-conscience. The whole course took the two of us adults about 2 hours. Plan for longer if you are afraid of heights, going with kids, or aren't in peak physical condition.
Omg best day ever!!! So scary fun I can't even describe. Bring your muscles it's gonna be a great workout!
Second time there with my grandson and my boyfriend, awesome time as always! We are 61 and 55 with a 15 yr old. Don't be afraid of heights.
This was a great experience with the exception of the safety clips. We have been to another Adventure park in Asheville, NC that would not allow one to have both clips undone from the main line at the same time. This technology is called "smart belay". Unfortunately, at Go Ape this is not the case. I observed my daughter, who is very comfortable with the clips from rock climbing, standing up on the ledge chatting away with both clips undone and no safety to keep her from falling. I had to stay on her constantly after that watching her every move to make sure she kept one clip on the mainline at all times. As much as we would love to we won't be back until they update the clip system.
